2016 Cruiser of the Year

Dave Dean – 2016 Cruiser of the Year

1957 Chevy Convertible

Dave Dean has been a dedicated cruiser and devotee of Old Town for over 24 years. Dean has been cruising at Old Town since the early 1990’s. An avid car collector, Dean has approximately 40 cars; he actually purchased an entire mini-storage facility to house his prized collection. An Old Town crowd favorite, Dean’s 1957 Sea-Mist Green Chevy convertible is immaculate and a staple at many of Old Town’s events; he found the car in a Pennsylvania barn and did the one-year restoration himself.

In addition to his affinity for car collecting, Mr. Dean is a loyal patron of Old Town and the local community. For many of Old Town’s charity events Dean not only volunteers his time, but brings his vintage pick-up truck for the annual “Stuff the Truck” school supply drive. He offered his red 57 Ford Thunderbird to be used in the design of Old Town’s 25th anniversary logo. Dean also supplies Old Town with Santa’s giant chair that is placed at the heart of Old Town for the annual Christmas with Santa photos.

The first recipient of the Cruiser of the Year, no one is more deserving than Dave Dean. His loyalty and appreciation of Old Town does not go unnoticed. We look forward to many more years of having Dave Dean cruise here at Old Town.
