Old Town, the iconic attraction of shops, restaurants, entertainment, and events for more than 30 years is adding more to their rides and attractions with a family rollercoaster.
The new ride is a custom layout E&F Miller Industries Hi-Miler steel roller coaster. It will be over five stories tall, feature a triple out and back layout of over 1,300 feet. The ride has seating for six per train and riders must be 42” or taller. I don’t know that you need that?
Located in Old Town’s South Plaza, this will be the third rollercoater for Fun Spot America’s Kissimmee park and join Mine Blower, Rockstar Coaster and Kiddie Coaster for a line-up of family thrills. Old Town’s South Plaza currently offers classic rides including the Carousel and Tilt-a-Whirl.
“Old Town continues to add more entertainment options including rides, attractions, events, and live music throughout the week,” says Old Town Vice President and General Manager Thearon Scurlock. “Partnering with Fun Spot reinforces our commitment to the revitalization project of Old Town and our commitment to the Kissimmee area. We continue to focus on providing an affordable attraction appealing to all ages.”
Fun Spot America is asking for help to name the new coaster. Fans and coaster enthusiasts are invited to submit their favorite name for the roller coaster on Fun Spot America’s Facebook page. If selected, the winner will receive a pair of season passes along with an opportunity to be among the first riders on the coaster. Visit our website www.fun-spot.com for complete rules and contest details.
The new coaster is expected to open December 2019. For more information about Old Town’s renovations and restoration, visit our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
