Old Town, an iconic walking district of shops, food and entertainment for more than 31 years, announces a spring concert by America’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer Winner, Mandy Harvey. The concert, scheduled for March 31, will be in the South Entertainment Area of Old Town in Kissimmee.
Mandy Harvey, from St. Cloud, Florida, is an award-winning singer, songwriter and motivational speaker who just happens to have an invisible disability. Mandy lost her residual hearing in 2006-2007 at age eighteen due to a connective tissue disorder that effected her nerves. She pursued several career options but returned to music in 2008. She quickly became a regular performer at various venues and has released three albums. Mandy recently made headlines around the world when she was put straight through to last year’s finals of America’s Got Talent as Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer winner. Although, she did not win the competition, her talent shined through leaving a lasting impression on so many.
Mandy also serves as ambassador to No Barriers USA, a non-profit organization with a mission to encourage, inspire and assist others to break through their personal barriers. A collection bin will be available the night of the concert for those wishing to donate.
“We are thrilled and excited to have Mandy Harvey perform at Old Town” says Thearon Scurlock, Old Town General Manager. “A performance like this not only proves our commitment to our guests and their overall experience but reinforces our brand as an affordable shopping, dining and entertainment attraction in the Orlando area.”
